McClendon’s latest book “The Proverbial Girl”
Lisa Lisa McClendon has always found freedom in her ability to be transparent, letting others know they are not alone. As an International Recording Artist, Lisa McClendon, is no stranger to the music world. She arrived on the music scene in 2002, with her debut release, My Diary, Your Life. In 2010, this Stellar and Dove Award Nominee blazed the scene and began enlightening the hearts of women and girls everywhere with her music and stories of pain, hope and restoration through her non-profit 501 C3 organization, Proverbial Girl, an outreach of hope designed to teach girls how to make better decisions. “There are a lot of things I have had to own today for mistakes made yesterday. I share these stories with the goal of saving someone else the heartache of regrets. Your experience is not always the best teacher; sometimes someone else’s experience is,” McClendon says. These remarkable experiences that Lisa eloquently shares have brought change into the lives of women and girls of every age, race, and culture, in the United States and abroad.
