Michelle Silva

Michelle Pauline Goodman Silva graduated high school in 1997 and then in 1998 joined the United Stated Navy as an Information System Technician. On June 26, 2004 she married the love of her life, Ildefonso Silva, ‘aka’ “ill-day” (gospel hip hop rapper).  Shortly after, Michelle and Ilde found out they would be expecting their first child, answering a long time dream of Michelle’s to become a mother. One year after the birth of Isabel Michel, God spoke to her that it was time to leave her profession and comfort zone to focus on the next season of her life: her first ministry – her family. So through months of prayer, God confirmed to her and Ilde in October of 2006 that it was time to leave the Navy and take a leap of faith to trust God with every area of their lives. During Michelle’s transition out of the Navy, she was offered a part-time position as an Event Coordinator at the church that she and her family were attending at the time. After a month, she was promoted to the Personal Assistant position for the elementary department at the church. During her time working at the church, she and Ilde were blessed with their second daughter, Iliana Amor, born February 2008. In October 2008, God then began to re-awaken a long time dream to homeschool her children.  Michelle lost her job at the church due to the economy which she felt was her opportunity to homeschool.  God also began to birth a ministry in Michelle’s heart for women called Transparent Tapestry which she still operates today.
In June 2009, Michelle and Ilde found out that they were going to be parents again! She found out two months later, that they had mis-carried one of the twins that she was carrying but that there was still a healthy baby growing in her womb. They were blessed with their third daughter, Miraya Idalis in March 2010.

She is truly a vocal mouthpiece for the Kingdom and shares the gospel daily with unashamed enthusiasm. Michelle is practicing at being the best wife and mother she knows to be by the leading of the Holy Spirit. She is currently greatly involved in women’s ministry, MOPS (mothers of preschoolers) and serves selflessly in many capacities at her home church.

Michelle loves to go to the movies with Ilde, going out to eat, attending girls night out, shopping for great bargains, doing arts and crafts, dancing, singing with her girls; getting mani/pedis/facials/massages, when she is not being supermom to her three beautiful daughters. She says that being a Mami is the toughest job ever, but the most rewarding!
